"RISING" Performance
At the sacred Mont Nemrut, Turkey
The cultural heritage of the Euphrates region is universally spiritual and has various historical aspects. We aim to celebrate and revalue its diversity through artistic expressions inspired by the central Asian nomadic wisdom.
We offer milk to the earth and the sun. It is a ritual to communicate with nature accompanied by a demand to touch the soil to build and rebuild.
Rising is in our hearts as well. So we praise the physical sun and our inner sun, which ties us with every living being and mother earth.
SUN BELT
Performance
At the Lucian Island, Turkey
Invite the willing participants, local artists, and artisans to the space where they can enter through the open space. All these processes will accompany a song and a piece of music.
We invite you to experience the region's spiritual connection and cyclical characteristics.
We ask the participants to form a circle following the walls while holding their hands, even in the door space. The participants who form a complete circle inside the wall will close this circle entirely. Participants who enter are considered to have spiritual, artistic, and material fortune and value in this time of our existence.
We nurture it positively and re-value it spiritually through artistic reunion. Finally, the circle, the yurt, is completed. The door space is also completed, filled, fulfilled, and united. We are one. We are universal. We are a circle of existence. We are an earth that is cyclic yet eternal.
'Eternity'
Installation
At the Lucian Island
The circular shape of the Mongolian yurt represents the universal cyclic intelligence in every aspect.
We open the walls individually and connect each wall by creating a circle on the yellow belt already there. We also build these walls by tying them with the yellow belt. Yurt walls are uncolored, and the natural color of the wood reflects the region's color. Looking from a distance, these wall shapes with yellow belts in between will look like these yellow crisscrossed shapes are in the air.
